I got to Bermuda in 1983 and was PADI certified before I went to JAX framp school in June of 84. The Club Med was being developed while I was out bobbing around St Georges quailifying for Open Water. It is puzzling to think that hotel closed forever just 2 years after I left. When we did the little wagon train tour in 2012, I could see so many buildings vacant around there. Its like the area kind of died off because we were gone and so was the hotel. I really hope they get a new hotel going up there.
