I got up early this morning to exercise. After a rigorous 25 minutes with Shawn T, I went outside with a cup of ice water to relax and enjoy the great outdoors in the wee hours before work. Man, I have never heard such maniacal racket. There was a gaggle, a throng, a collective, a horde of some species of bird that made the most obnoxious noises I have ever heard. Like crows in heat. Phyllis Diller on some sort of torturous loop. I was going insane within minutes. I have never owned a gun but I now have Charton Heston on speed dial. I sent $20 to the NRA. Had I wanted this kind of peace I would have moved to Camden NJ or East LA. I felt like the bad guy in the Machurian Candidate (the one with Frank Sinatra). Rush Limbaugh sounds like the Dalai Lama compared to those birds. Anyway, I am looking forward to rush hour traffic and administrative headaches like never before. Do the Bird Sanctuary rules apply outside the city limits?
