I gotta tell you, some people may pooh-pooh taking the bus to get from place to place, but this Greyhound bus has bigger seats and WAY more legroom than an airliner, plugs at the seats, free wifi (which Im using RIGHT NOW to post), and is costing me a grand total of $35 to get from Indianapolis to St. Louis in about 5 hours. Cheaper and easier than renting a car (Id spend more than $35 in gas before I got to the actual one-way cross-state rental fees) and cheaper and faster than taking the train (would have been about $180-200 and, having to go into Chicago and lay over before switching trains, taking about 12 hours total. And not being able to leave until tomorrow), and planes (no direct flights meant switching flights and layovers so, like the train, about 12-13 hours, plus about $250). Also, I dont have to drive, so I can work and/or goof around for the whole trip. So, this just in: If youre by yourself and need to make an interstate trip of a couple hundred miles, dont forget about good ol Greyhound. Faster, cheaper, better. Besides, I just got to see a lovely old courthouse or some such building in Terre Haute! Bonus local flavor!
