I grew up across the street from The Carnegie Deli in Manhattan. My dad and I used to go there for a sandwich every now and then. I remember the first time I had chopped liver on Rye with corned beef and pastrami. Tiny bit of mustard. Wow. Also always love their half sour pickles. Mild. Kind of celebrates the great texture a pickle can have---as important as flavor. Picks up the caraway seed flavor in the rye bread. Im getting hungry....
