Weve been talking about pantries right now and I recently shared - TopicsExpress

Weve been talking about pantries right now and I recently shared some pictures with you all where people were storing food in reusable glass jars. That spurred a discussion of home canning, and how a lot of you do can your own food, and others chimed in that they wanted to. So I wanted to make everyone aware of this really great ebook called Simply Canning which is written by Sharon Peterson of the website Simply Canning. Shes one of the foremost authorities on all things canning on the web, and her books are top sellers for a reason -- because theyre very informative. This ebook is all about canning food safety, and that is such an important topic because while canning is something almost anyone can do, if youre going to do it you need to know the rules of food safety to make sure it is done properly. This ebook is part of the Ultimate DIY Bundle, so when you purchase you get this ebook plus 75 other eBooks and eCourses all on DIY topics. So my question to you is, do you can your own food or do you want to? And if you do, how and where do you store it? My Grandma was a huge proponent of home canning, and I remember her having stashes of mason jars filled with food almost everywhere in her house. (She loved giving them out as gifts.) So where and how do you store your home canned foods? Show me pictures if you have them so we all get ideas. Plus, I have to say, I just think home canned foods on shelves look lovely.
