I grew up watching MJF on Family Ties, in Teen Wolf, and of course BTTF. There is one big detail the show is missing out on. If you watch Tim Allens Last Man Standing, he has hit the nail on the head. Jokes about the past. He has had two Home Improvement stars on and every time they are on, they make Home Improvement jokes. During the first Christmas episode, he made a Santa Clause reference. He even made a Galaxy Quest reference while filming his characters blog. Tim Allen gets it: Do the jokes. Obviously, we havent seen it, but when Chrstopher Lloyd is on, there needs to be BTTF jokes. He could also have a scene where his kids are watching the new Teen Wolf series and sarcastically say what a stupid concept that is. Or in a Halloween show, come out in a werewolf mask and have one of the kids pull it off him and say something like Dad, youre not a werewolf. We never have been, you never will be. Stop putting the mask on every year. He also needs to try to get Family Ties people on. I know he did the BTTF joke with Lloyd on Spin City, but it was just one quick scene. It needs to be throughout. I know they had Merideth Baxter play his mom, but there were no actual FT references. I know the jokes seem corny, but real fans eat that stuff up. If they want this show to be successful, they need to milk his past for all its worth to bring in the ratings so they can move forward. Also, for the love of God get off Thursday nights!! Youll never beat The Big Bang Theory!!
