I guess I can call it having a moment... I never thought I would arrive this point..well let me rephrase that, I never thought Id get here so quickly. My reality became just that-reality-last night as I watched Jordan being interviewed on the talk show. I watched how he handled himself. I fought to get his attention to tell him to speak louder, and then realized that the once high pitched voice I knew had become deep and shallow. It wasnt more volume that I was looking for, it was the little voice, I remembered so well. As I looked at him, I searched for the little boy who loved Dipsy from the Teletubbies and who would correct you in an instant if you tried to tell him the Tigger Movie was not the Tigger Mooonie. My eyes revealed to my heart that the once little boy who cared so much about his dads and my approval is now making decisions on his own. Though with that realization, I sat in my chair taller, I understood even more that we only have a second (compared to the lifetime of our children) to be the light unto their pathways and their guide. Soon the lessons taught will become their compass that will serve as merely a tool for their journey. I am proud of my Jordan-undoubtedly, but I never thought I would look up and see that he isnt my little Jordie anymore... Treasure the moments...❤️
