I guess Ill start at the beginning........ In December of 2012 I was privileged and blessed to have met the love of my life, Jade Ryan. With that came her awesome entourage of friends she had made while vacationing in Belize. Having mutual friends, it was a only a matter of time before we started hanging out on a daily basis. Brittney ODaniel David Jenkins Joseph Chung Erin De Santiago Jessica Salo Brittaany Munson Brent Butcher and Tull Rea as well as Jade made an incredible idea come to fruition, which became the FATE GIVES/HOPE KITCHEN charity event. It was amazing to be able to do a wonderful thing for people, and have everyone come together for the positivity of a focused idea, whether they were less fortunate, well off, or completely down on their luck. Needless to say it was a stellar success!!!!!! With that in mind, when I drove to visit my beautiful fiancé at the beginning of August this year, it began with a great surprise...... My chick took me to this killer diner/ drive thru burger joint thats famous in Calgary. The line was jam packed in the front and the drive thru was backed up to the street. Looking over the options was a task in itself. After placing our order and making our way to the pay window, we were informed that the SUV in front of us had paid for our order, something like $36!!! Stunned/shocked and completely beside ourselves with joy and confused amusement, Jade was very adamant to be sure to pay this deed forward. Of course I was willing to oblige. A few weeks later, after picking Jade up from work, she needed to stop at Target to pickup dog food, cat litter, and whatever. Well... Apparently Target had a deal going on where if you spent a certain amount of money, they give you a $50 gift card. There were enormous lines at the cashier with people returning the items they purchased while still refusing to give up the gift card. Trying to keep the peace, the staff told the people they were unable to refund the purchases if they refused to return the gift cards as well. The people were NOT happy. Im sure you can use your imagination as to what was said during the complaints. When Jade returned to the car, she relayed the scenario to me. Immediately after leaving the parking lot, she went to Tim Hortons (a better Canadian version of Starbucks), and bought doughnuts for everyone. Upon returning to Target and giving the staff the doughnuts, they couldnt believe that someone would be so kind and giving, as to take the time and do something such as that. It was really, really kool!!! And as we drove home, Jade lovingly smiles over to me and says it wasnt fair for them to have to deal with that shit. I mean, I know theyre getting paid to be at work, but people dont need to treat each other line that. I wholeheartedly agreed. Having gone on as long as I have with this, Ill wrap it up. Yesterday, it was my turn to pay it forward. After hauling a ton of high end, name brand clothes out of a storage unit, in which they were all going to be thrown out, I piled them into Julian Dominguezs car, after he himself cleared out a ton of shirts, pants, and a few pairs of shoes from his own closet. We drove to downtown Los Angeles and handed them out, one person at a time. It felt great to able to something good for someone else. And the whole time we were on that mission, I had all of you tagged in this post close to my heart.
