I guess today was a banner day as South Carolina picked a 3rd image for the the SCiWay.net South Carolina Pictures Project to be part of the recognition of the days that have passed, with some very prominent Twin Towers that are the only remnants of the Buffalo Mill in Buffalo, South Carolina. I must admit this is one of my personal favorites, as the environmental cleanup of the site, now controlled by our County Government, is not quite complete but it is obvious these magnificent towers that once held the clocks that told everyone what time it was, but also the mill whistles also let them know when to be at work, when to eat, an when to go home. A shot of the remnants and how the town was centered around the cotton mill was taken from the Old Buffalo Elementary School property that stands on the hill behind the old mill.
