I had a discussion wit a student here today about basically an individuals foundation for explanation. Evolution and human cognitive and alla that bullshit. Her approach was scientifical, mine was metaphorical. I told her that not all things can be explained scientifically. She disagreed and used the word fact a lot. I asked her if she believed she had a soul, she said yes. She said my body is the vessel. I said good, so does your soul exist on the physical plain? She got confused. I said is your soul this, and I slapped my flesh. She said no, so I said then your soul exists on a seperate plain of existence. She said ok?? I told her since your soul is the essence of who you are, you are really your soul and not your body. I told her you are in essence a spiritual being living in a physical plain, and that the spiritual plain could not be explained scientifically. Thats when I lost her...lmao.
