I had a dream and....I remember it! The more I think about it the warmer I feel. Check it out. I was at home with family and some friends, the mood was festive and happy. We were at our home. The home we lived in was on a cliff with about 10-20 feet of earth from the back door to the edge of the cliff. It was raining and had been for a while. At some point during the gathering I went to the back door and looked out at the cliff. What I saw was alarming but I was not alarmed. I saw that the earth between my the house and the cliff had eroded and was already eroding under the house. I calmly walked back and announced to everyone we were going to get out of the house very soon and to get ready. As we were calmly but hurriedly getting ready to leave all of a sudden we felt the equilibrium of the house begin to shift. OK lets get out now I said and everyone stopped what they were doing and ran for the door. As I was watching everyone run to and begin to go out into the light, into safety, I was feeling safe. My son who was right before me made a sudden turn. Troubled I thought I would go and grab him to get him out. (My son runs everywhere with a smile and even though we doubt it he usually knows where he is going. He is three and very cute.) As I turned, from the door and safety, toward the room my son had disappeared into I realized this was it. I would not be able to get him and get out. We would face whatever fate awaited us in the room together. I was glad my son would not be alone! I ran though the doorway and upon entering the room did not immediately see my son. I looked up and through the window saw the profile of my cute smiling son running to meet up with the rest in safety. Oh the joy I felt! My son and family did not look back! They all ran to safety fully trusting. I was left in the falling house and when my son was out of sight everything for me went dark. It was like, one second I was in the house and the other I was in the crawl space in dirty darkness. As the house tumbled I just kept trying to center myself in the structure. The house was in free-fall and because of that it was not that turbulent so I just had to continue getting to the center. Thinking if I stayed in the middle when the house hit bottom I would have a chance of survival, I struggled. Even though the thought of not being crushed on impact gave me some comfort I knew that I would most likely be crushed as the other side of the house collapsed onto me. In all this, the darkness, the falling house, the dirt all I could do was thank God my family had been able to get to safety. Then the movement was over, It was still dark but the falling had stopped and I never felt a great impact. I figured I was buried alive but thought I would still try to get out. As I pushed what I thought was a floorboard I immediately was blinded by the light. I awoke knowing I was going to rejoin my family in safety! Whooohooo!!!!!
