I had a good friend of Alfreds Homestead who rang and made comment about my posts on Facebook. His main complaint was that I write posts which are too long. I have had the same complaint from other friends too. They figure they need to read whatever Bill has written - and, they complain because I give them too much to read. Do you think I should shorten my posts?. I will do my best to make this post shorter than the usual 10 pages. I have noted the entries to my weekly prize draw. I cannot help but notice since as soon as one hits submit on the entry form I get an email that looks like this me Weekly Prize Draw sep 1 Obviously I click to see who has submitted. The details are there and normally we have a name and a mobile phone number or we have the 2nd entry form with a name and mobile number with friends or family below with names and mobile numbers. I initially thought my entries would go crazy with people telling all their friends and I thought because I was allowing multiple entries I would have thousands of entries in days. Not the case. Most that like Alfreds Homestead dont seem to like the idea that they have many entries and have a greater chance of winning many times. I told my staff to enter telling them that they could use a voucher as a gift if they won. I asked one of my staff that has many friends why she has not put in an entry - the reply I got was that it was not fair for her to win. I know many Facebook friends have hundreds of Facebook friends .If they played the game I could have hundreds of entries with the same name. Now what is wrong with that! All it means is that some will win more often. If a staff member wins and needs to work on a Sunday then there would be one less present that needs to be bought for that special person. Do you know after some 9 weeks ie since 7th July I have only a handful that have submitted to get more than one entry. You need to get friends to submit and then you need to fill the 2nd form with your name and phone number and below up to 10 friends that have submitted. You can repeat the process as many times as you like. Well the other problem seems to be the fact that most do not have the time to get a friend or friends to submit an entry. A sunday lunch voucher for 2 is valued at $96. Surely it is a worthwhile prize if Entry is FREE and the voucher is transferable meaning you can Gift it if you work on Sundays. I did mention that I would do a Monthly Draw for a Voucher for 2 for Saturday Night. Well it will be so the 1st Wednesday of every month starting tomorrow. Go and put a few more entries in and check this page after or near Midnight for the lucky winner. A saturday night voucher for 2 is worth $116. Perhaps I should provide a special prize for the person who is first to have 50 entries. Not only will they have a greater chance of winning each Draw but they will be rewarded for getting their friends to be in the Draw. Perhaps I should give every person that reaches 50 entries a present. Please tell me you like my idea!
