I had a little field work this morning in the Trinity River bottom, and was lucky enough to see two bald eagles majestically circling over equally majestic east Irving (think Colorado but no mountains). I stood awestruck by the alternating white head and tail patterns as they made their turns into the reflecting sun, and even more important, I could feel the terrorists losing. I imagined they were my trained pets – Toby and Keith, ready to fight for America at my command. Then I saluted, got in the truck, and drove off. Jokes aside, really, really cool to see. #America
