I had a male friend walk with me once when a truck pulled by and started honking. I ignored it as usual but he had never seen anything like that before and wasnt sure why that person was honking. He was completely lost. I explained that it was common for me to walk out and get harassed by people I dont know. Even something as seemingly nice as smile or have a good day is not appreciated from a stranger with leering eyes on the street.
