I had a stand at the Aylesbury Business Show yesterday, and I - TopicsExpress

I had a stand at the Aylesbury Business Show yesterday, and I thought Id share what I learnt from the experience. 1) Unless youve already got your brochure etc done, Id recommend getting a marketing person/designer to help. This saved me hours of thinking time, and I got all my thoughts down in one hour long meeting. I had lots of compliments about my stand and brochures! 2) Think what you want to achieve from the day, is it to get business cards generally, to talk with lots of people, to give out flyers, to arrange meetings or to raise brand awareness? 3) Dont forget the other stands! I had lots of interest from them, and I went and spoke to nearly every one! 4) Dont use your mobile phone whilst on the stand! 5) Do smile and say hello as people go by. In this type of environment, people are interested in what you do so dont be shy! 6) Do remember to take a little info from each person so that you remember who they were afterwards. Youre seeing so many, it can be confusing. 7) Take at least one person along with you as you cant do it alone! I had someone there all day, and then someone popped in for a couple of hours. 8) Do tell people about it beforehand. Overall I had a great day, it was exhausting but fun. I have a wad of information to follow up next week and hopefully Ill get some business from it.
