I had a very enjoyable and poignant family day out with old friends and comrades, and new emerging inquisative interested young people to Glasnevin Cemetary and the Battle of the Boyne site. Visited the graves of many men and women I had only read about or sung about or scowled about, and also learnt a lot about what was at stake in the battle of the boyne. Intend to write about my day and views in the chronicle... the two sites deserve an article each!
