I had a very unusual thing happen to me yesterday. I was resting my voice afraid that I was coming down with laryngitis. Ive been fighting bronchitis but nothing can stop me from singing but laryngitis. Ive sung with the flu before. I tried singing a little in the shower and called Bob Sauer (my manager) to see if we should cancel the concert. But I decided to go ahead and try to do my best. Well, when I walked out to sing the first song I knew I was in trouble. I didnt even finish the song. I just started talking. Thank God I could still talk. Stan Whitmire sang the choruses on Home Where I Belong and did a great job. I tried to squawk out the verses. I want to thank the sweet people in attendance last night at The Gallo Center. And next time I come I promise to bring my voice. Or at least hope to bring it.
