I had a wonderful visit with family and friends in Guernsey and caught up with almost everyone after which I was much blessed in Lausanne Switzerland visiting almost all my friends at Christ Church, the Anglican Episcopal Chaplaincy, where I preached at the Thanksgiving for the refurbishment and re-ordering of the interior of the church on Saturday November 23. It was a very special occasion with a large ecumenical representation, beautiful music and a great atmosphere at the supper which followed. The gentle snow falls overnight reminded me of my childhood in Scotland and I really appreciated my room with a view over Lac Leman to the town of Evian le Bains and the glorious alps.... Now on the sixth and final leg of my journey I am enjoying The Hague and the Netherlands as I visit with one of my former Yarra Valley Grammar School students. It is a privilege to share in the life of his young family and to be so embraced by them. I return to marvellous Melbourne on Tuesday December 3...
