I had an unusual experience at the Shell just now. I held the door open for the guy behind me, like I typically do when Im first to the door by only a few seconds. He started to go in, hesitated, and then politely declined, adding that he was not a female. I laughed and told him I didnt think he was. When we were both leaving he thanked me for the gesture and I told him that I simply hold the door for anyone behind me that needs to go through. He said that was a cool philosophy and hed pay it forward. How is that a foreign philosophy? That should be everyones philosophy, all the time.
