I had date last night...we ate at Rib City in Arvada, the place was filled with people. We arrived on his motorcycle. When the food came, he simply stopped talking and said will you pray with me in the same tone he had been talking in.. He is the first man in all these years who held my hands across the table, bowed his head, prayed simply and directly with no sign grandiosity or show off holier than others. His prayer didnt feel plastic or preachy. It was our second date. We did not meet on a Christian site, he had not bragged about his beliefs nor asked me mine, I had no idea except that he seemed kind, gentle, & genuine. He did not raise his voice to be noticed, he didnt look to see who was watching. We didnt talk about it later. He simply was comfortable with himself and so was I...amazingly so.... What a rare treat...genuine humility. Hmmm...I guess it is all the things he didnt do that impressed me the most.
