I had my 4th surgical wash out yesterday about 3 oclock. Sadly it was still infected, so they have kept the wound open and I will have my next wash out tomorrow. I will also be seeing the hand specialist. Im on 2 types of antibiotics via iv, so have to stay in and also on pain relief. Unfortunately they cant use a vacuum pump. The worst thing is you are given a general anaesthetic each time which doesnt give you much time to recover before the next one. Hospitals and rest dont seem to go well together! The antibiotics are given at midnight and 6am, then bloid pressure, etc at 2am. We also have a snorer on ward!!! Lol
