I had some cold caller knock the door about 8 months ago, called moneysavings re Council Tax band,, I was already dealing with the council and Valuation Office to get mine reduced as it was higher , The man told me that they could look into getting it reduced. I informed him I was already looking into it.. He told me the paperwork was to give permission to check the details with the council etc,,, So I signed to say yes he could,,,, Well what I actually signed was If they get a result they want 70% !! which I found out a few months ago ,, I got a refund from the council for £1475.00 as I had overpaid,, then got an invoice from moneysavings for £1106,00 cheeky gets had not done a thing,, and atempted court,, Well because I signed the agreement I was to either take a chance and win or have to pay them above amount and court fees,, Had a mediation over phone today and in the end agreed to pay them £800.00 .. So BEWARE people SIGN NOTHING
