I had someone ask about Bellas warts on her feet earlier today so I wanted to do an update. One of them (the one on her right foot) was frozen by the dermatologist and although its still there and still rather large, it has improved. The other one, however, on her left foot is forever growing. They tried to freeze it and nothing happened. Our doctors at Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta are trying to come up with a solution. There are no podiatrists on staff and none that they have spoken with who are willing to touch a child still on treatment (still undergoing chemotherapy). They told me they would be speaking with the surgical team at Scottish Rite to seeing anyone would be willing to remove them. We know this will not be a permanent fix, but they are effecting how she can walk/run, which shows she can wear, etc. They cause her a lot of discomfort and pain and we have got to do something. Shes scheduled for a spinal tap in a few weeks and hopefully they will tell me what theyve decided then. I will keep you guys updated. Here are some gross, yet eerily accurate pictures of her wart. If you compare them to the pics just a few weeks ago, you can see how much larger it is now. Weve got to figure out something...
