I had someone post a statement that said basically that if one is pro-life, then that should also include allowing all immigrants, including the sick with contagious disesases, the criminal minded, the insane, and all the poor needy to enter into the USA as they are ; after all if we dont, then we are only pro-birth and not pro-life. Let us think this thru. With that mind set, let us not then have any borders at all, let all who wish to enter, come, abolish INS, passports, visas, etc as they will no longer be viable. I am the first to say that all life is precious and if anyone knows me well, this is a true statement I make about my beliefs. Even an animal to me is precious, so much more for human life. If I could, I would save the world....but not possible. With that said, I continue......on a geographical thought, it is important to have borders to discern laws and who has responsibility for whom, otherwise it would be a free for all on who does what and when and who holds the authorities for decisions. With the idea of pro life as this was stated, then lets just allow anyone at anytime enter anywhere and everyone foots the bill for their survival at all levels...housing, food, clothing, medical, education, and even if any become incarcerated, that as well. If any bring in polio, plagues from 3rd world countries (I have a friend who still gets bouts of malaria from visiting Africa) such as Ebola, enterovirus, etc. to America, are we really caring? There are those who come into America from India (example) get the surgery they need, and then go back to their country, and we also have doctors without borders that go to these stressed countries and offer medical help they otherwise would not receive. No other country does as much for humanity as the USA does.....so saying pro-life does not mean we just allow willy nilly to whomever , as protecting our own is first priority. We are not the wastebasket for the world. If we let in every soul freely who wished to be here, even if they are all healthy, how much will that cost us, monetarily, educationally, medically, job wise and mentally? We cannot save the world......
