I had such an incredible time working with Mim Kristy Thoj & her amazing kids on their family photos this year. Kristy had expressed her wish to have some fun photos done for her family, as oppose to the more traditional family photos. We were able to plan months ahead of time to discuss themes, costumes, makeup, & hair ideas. The Yang family chose to do a more whimsical vintage carnival theme, and I was so thrilled- being that I have a background in costumes. Once we started to put the ideas in motion, I put together a great team to help me bring this vision to life for Kristy & the kids. Along with Karen Nou Yang Photography, Davàj by Pada & Sandyxthemakeupartist- we were able to custom create this whole wonderful experience for a very lovely family from every lock of hair, the stroke of a makeup mustache, to the adorable prop detailing, and every fringe, & stripe on the costumes. It is one of the most beautiful things to be apart of - making an everlasting memory for families to enjoy both in memory & in photos.
