I had the opportunity to meet with a customer today to answer questions about wood flooring in the kitchen. On a daily basis I work with contractors, builders, installers and customers about all types of flooring. There are times I get questions that make me realize how misleading the flooring and renovation industry can be at times. I have numerous magazines with beautiful full page professional quality images of dream kitchens. They show off the latest cabinets and materials. What floor do they usually show? Wood. I can theorize that it is because of the warmth that a wood floor exudes. Carpet has even more warmth. Why not show that type of flooring in the kitchen? Because it would be unrealistic to even the most novice homeowner. Wood is more reasonable though still not as durable as tile or practical as vinyl. When you visit my showroom you will see beautiful tile that is hard to distinguish from hardwood planks. When these tile planks are installed, they give the similar warm feeling of natural wood without the worry of water damage. So, I would like to thank my visitor for spending time with me this afternoon. Do you have any questions about your floor? Stop in or give us a call.
