I had the steroid shots today - it was much more painful than I expected but I tend not to be affected by pain meds and anaesthesia as easily as others and should have told the pain mgmt. dr. that. It worked to numb it enough for him to start but overall it was pretty painful and the foot never really went to sleep. But it is behind me, if feels better after elevation and ice and I hope by tomorrow the steroids will kick in. Thanks for all the encouragement and info up front.
