I had to share this and it got me teary eyed because I get it....Im sitting here eating foid from a restraunt right now and Im sooo lucky, unlike some. I know that even though most of you have known me for many years, but there is def the other side that has a huge heart for the homeless....people that are going through tough times. I used to be a GM for BB Kings on 2nd avenue in Nashville and used to feed the homeless weekly...I used to but damn near every warm jacket I could from the Goodwill to keep the men and women downtown Nashville warm during the bitter cold winters. They a have a story that I wanna hear whether it is just a tough life,at be a man or woman who fought for our country....maybe a drug addict that had no control of themselves....they a need love! I was walking one day with my ex wife Heidi on Broadway....A really hard man came and yelled my name calling me Boss Bob, and he remembered me from feeding them while I was at Bb Kings. It brought years to my eyes that he would remember me of all ppl. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and never recovered from the trauma. I had just bought a new silver necklace and a cross to wear at my wedding....when he hugged me, I quickly took off the necklace and put it around his neck....Heidi was seriously mad but I had a smile from ear to eat. He held onto me and I could barely get free....big tears were on his face and he told me Boss Bob....I love you and I will never take this off. I just saw him 2 months ago and I didnt even walk up to him, he came to me....the necklace was still hanging on his neck. Homeless people never wanted this life, they all have a story and I will always show love and will take the time to help others that need assistance. Heidi , thanks for posting this because this is the way all of us fortunate ppl should think...giving a little to Those who need it....Please at least think about it...
