I had two conversations last Friday, after 133 kids died in the name of religion. One with an Indian and the other with a Pakistani. Both good friends. Both Punjabis. On either side of the fence following their respective religions. Here is my convo with Salman from the other side who has a charming n colourful way of speak.. Me: hey buddy, whatzup? He: A cacophony of Mullahs outside my house, every 100 metres there is a mosque, not one condemning the Peshawar massacre. Me: Really? 100 metres? What cacophony? What are they saying? He: Its noise about paradise all around. Like doomsday. The Pulpit Thekedars say Taliban are our brothers. Sons of beeches are screaming Taliban hi Islam ke jhandey ko uncha rakhne wale hain. How f***** impotent are we as a state, when they are allowed to say - those kids died because we are fighting others (Amreekas) war? Shame on us. Me: How can the state allow these Mullahs to spew hate, also blame Amreeka? I met a few Pakistanis on FB who too blamed India. He: These pulpit thekedars must be eradicated if we want a NEW Pakistan. But they are on Govts payroll providing safe haven to terrorists in the heart of Capital, at the expense of the future of our already sorry country. The state has lost capacity to arrest, prosecute, punish those who occupy the Pulpit. It is apologetic. These Masjids should be taken over by the people and NO bearded pulpit thekedar should be allowed to poison. Ban private TV channels, specially Geo and Hamid who are Taliban apologists and propagandists. Clean up the govt. Reform PTV/Radio and change the narrative. Thats how the war on terror will be won. We need to exterminate 1,000,000 bearded swines before the country can be cleansed. Me: So it is State Terrorism, isnt it? He: What started with Zia has become Zia-ism now. This was the time to grab the state back. But the PM failed on this too, yet again. Taliban Khan is frighteningly worse. If the govt had any sense they would finish off this nonsense or allow us to finish it off, and give us tax holidays for it. Ahh...If only they had sense. Me: So whats the plan? Are you protesting? He: Protest against what? A sponsored state or the state sponsored mullahs who sponsor state sponsored terrorists? Go to the streets? IM SORRY...unless the state shows some balls, stops supporting these mullahs, Im not going for blasphemy. These Fatwa Factories who cant utter a word against the Taliban, will in a second eat me. And then you can say goodbye to me too, my trusted friend and keep singing We knew each other since we were 9 or 10... Well lets see..Lal Masjid protests are a good sign. Me: Naah..we will sing it together when we are both 50 or 60, with skinned hearts and skinned knees. So religion eh? He: You bet. Terrorism cant be defeated without crushing the violent and inhuman Takfiri ideology behind it, which follows the LITERAL INTERPRETATION OF THE QURAN. Who are they to decide whether Im a Muslim or not? No bearded man on the pulpit, should be allowed to permeate poison. These cowards must be crushed. Saw them pleading mercy when two Talibanis were hung. HA...Islamic warriors en route to 72 wh*res somewhere. Hang em all. My other Convo with my Indian friend after much argument ended thus: Me: The Quran must be reformed for the greater peace of this world. He: No religion teaches hate. All religions are equal. Im horrified that you can bring in religion into these killings at Peshawar. No more discussions if you cant keep religion out of this. Grow up. QED
