I had two different things to say, but I forgot the second - TopicsExpress

I had two different things to say, but I forgot the second one... Einstein did his best work as a patent clerk. There are a few really good lessons in Ghostbusters. But this one is gold. Ever heard of being too close to a problem? There is a simple neurological truth to it. You get so overfocused on a project that the lines begin to blur, and your ability to create and solve diminish. Our brains are extremely busy places, processing, literally, trillions of stimuli every second. Only a very small percent is even able to get through our filters, queued for [quasi-] conscious analysis. Our nerves also numb themselves to too much of the same stimulus. It is important to be able to have something to break that to keep progress going. Sometimes, simple rest and recovery is necessary, but others it may mean occupying your unconscious mind with a little noise so your filtering faculties intensify the focus on the signal. As an aside, you could also interpret the message to mean taking care of business menially while you work on your big coup degras project. Some of us, myself included, are making up for earlier bad financial choices by working a regular job while we put wheels on our non-jobs. Im an office worker at the moment, despite being a teacher, because its what pays the bills. Can I enhance my earnings with low level non-job-esque principles? Of course. My free time is largely put toward building my behind the scenes and local work. But options are there if I choose to take up certain preliminary paths. Im just currently obsessed with improving my foundation over getting out there and doing the thing, but doing is coming, for sure. 2015 just feels different coming over the horizon... If I remember what the second thing was, Ill let you know.
