I hadnt intended to share the previous post, The state of the public unions, msnbc, via PoliticsNation with Al Sharpton, even with the exchange between myself and a couple of other people. Its not like Im a narcissist or anything... Then I got to thinkin that I had been meaning to write about some of these very issues anyway, so... In case you didnt actually look at the link... maybe I am a narcissist... Clarence Duffy: if you dont support the union, you shouldnt benefit from the union... Jane Arcuri: You know its the law right???? Dont have to pay dues but you do get the benes Clarence Duffy: ...and (its simply my opinion, Im not trying to force it on anyone) if youre benefiting from something, you should support it somehow... peace/out. Kathi Meyerson: I with Clarence. Dont pay dues, youre on your own for bargaining and representation. Stuart Dobson: So in all sincerity, what is the difference between your statement above and welfare. If you dont contribute to our country but take from our country why should you get all the benefits? Clarence Duffy: I didnt say, or mean to imply in the case of welfare, that they should. I absolutely believe that we should be able to come up with some method for welfare recipients to perform some type of public service or some way for them to earn, so to speak, the benefits that they are receiving. Now, let me ask you something. Where do you stand on all the big-money corporations benefitting by keeping their personal residences and corporate headquarters here in America but shipping all the jobs overseas and stashing all their profits in foreign bank accounts? I feel that they should be required to bring those jobs home along with all that cash so they can pay the taxes they owe to support the country that has enabled them to become obscenely rich in the first place, or take all their personal and professional holdings and move to whereever their money is or whereever their goods and/or services are being make and/or provided. Peace/out.
