For some time now, there have been questions as regards what is happening behind the scenes. As the Group Administrator, I have the following to say: 1. We cannot all of us lead. When I started this group, I welcomed others to help all Makuyu people to come together and share about themselves. However, some in the former leadership want to lead, and sell MAKUYU ONLINE to politicians. I said a firm NO. 2. Makuyu Online, which is different from this group, was started slightly over a week ago by David Kamunde. You have probably been invited to join or added without your knowledge. Be vigilant. I wish him all the best. Members, kindly note this is the ONLY formal group bringing together all the Makuyu people. Any other group is led by SELFISH interests and unknown motives. 3. As Makuyu people, we need to focus not on petty issues, but on the bigger picture. We have done a lot of good together, and nobody should be allowed the luxury to run away with all that good. So, I therefore call upon you to do what is right: to post anything beneficial to Makuyu people. We dont need to keep discussing a business plan, but we need to be able to file it on this page (as a digital file) and have everyone contribute to IDEAS. We are not here to discuss anyone, but things done far away from and without the involvement of all members should be treated with the contempt that they deserve. 4. We will pursue the course of ACTION, not mere talk. In this respect, some of the events that were in planning, will go ahead. As your administrator, Ill endeavour to include all of you in key decision making. 5. Lastly, this is an invitation to the 35 years plus members of this group who were put off by the immaturity that, unfortunately, was shown by the previous leadership. We are hereby extending a warm welcome in a mature group, where you will be consulted, where your ideas count, and you wont have to feel embarrassed whenever you are at a MAKUYU ONLINE meeting. We invite you to suggest a date SOON when we can meet and agree on the way forward as Makuyu People. Thank you Honorable Members of MAKUYU ONLINE. Please note the difference: MAKUYU ONLINE (correct). Makuyu Online (fake). — MY RESPONSE... I was utterly shocked by a post I happened to see on MAKUYU ONLINE by Cess shiko Ngure thro a friend who is a member of the group from where I reside. These statements are erroneously misguiding. This is my response; I hereby want to clarify, correct and correctly put and shed light on the issues pointed out. 1. I being part of the former leadership, we respected you Cess as the founder and one of the Admins of the group. - Its true all of us cannot lead, thats why there was a leadership team. All responsibilities were subdivided and every leader had their own respective role/duties to carry on. -No one was intrested in selling the group to politicians, it has just happened recently. 2. MAKUYU ONLINE is not the only group bringing people together. There are other legal platforms, formal groups and organisation in Makuyu are not only limited to bringing people together, but they are working to change the mindset, behavour, develop talent, create opportunities, attracting and creating local investors thereby enlightening and changing the face of our locality whereby bringing people together is innevitable. The basis of their formation is not formed on SELFISHNESS and unknown motives. This statement is erroneous, provocative, uncouth, and misguiding. Withdraw the statement and apologize. 3. Point No. 3 clearly proves and shows a mindset that has never paid the cost of any of the meetings attended. The writer doesnt know the price people pay thro the statement a business plan. -Also, nothing has ever been done without the involvement and/or notification of all members and in a place out of their reach. Everything has been always posted by the either the former interim Chairman or Secretary (thats me) on the wall. 4. No one above 35yrs intending to join the group has ever been put off. -Calling the former leadership immature is unacceptable. This is too disgusting, primitive, uncouth, provocative, erroneous and misguiding. Withdraw the statement and apologize. Also I made the following observations; -The post was not written by Cess who has posted it. -The post was written by Willian Ndungu (Kariuki). I also want to question Cess because she was a part part of the former leadership why she agreed to post such erroneous, insulting and misguiding information in the name of shedding light to members. You have also been insulted too. The post proofs that; 1. You never read thro the post, 2. You were manipulated to copy paste the post the way it was sent to you. How can someone (Kariuki) who is hungry for leadership come in, manipulate you into posting the insulting information, and later you appoint him one of the groups admin and later he starts blocking members who have sacrificed alot of their material things, themselves and time to establish a solid platform, develop the group and reach where it is? This leaves alot to be desired of you.
