I hate bringing up controversial topics on the internet. But I - TopicsExpress

I hate bringing up controversial topics on the internet. But I guess Ill do this at my own risk anyway. Here it goes. So about this whole Ferguson Situation. I not in Liberty to say whether the officer is in the right. I wasnt there. I didnt witness it. All we can do is be sympathetic for the family that lost their child. No person deserves to go through something like that. And my heart goes out to them. But what I can say is how the protesters handled it, and why I believe this isnt a racial problem. Its a behavioural problem. Now before I go on, let me just say that Im NOT a racist. Nor do I intend to come off as one. The colour of ones skin does not matter to me. We are all human beings with a soul. Now that Ive got that out of the way, I shall continue. Folks need to understand that not everything is about Racism. Yes, slavery was one of the most horrific things that happened in history. And yes, some Racists out there still exist. And YES, there are Police officers that abuse there power. Guess what, they are all human beings just like the rest of us. We are a flawed species as a whole, and everybody makes mistakes. With that being said, Personal responsibility is a thing. And this goes for ALL human beings. If your life is messed up, its not because of racism, and its not because of society (No matter what colour you are). Look in the mirror, and stop blaming society and its problems for yours. Some people are born in a bad situation. You get dealt a hand of cards, and you take them. You cant help something like that. But you can try your best to get out of it. Burning down buildings like a angry mob isnt the way to do that. If you live in a messed up neighbourhood, stop messing it up. My point is, we live in 2014. The fact that Racism is still a thing is just baffling to me. We live in a modern era. Can we ALL please act like it? And that goes for ALL of us. We are not pilgrims. We shouldnt be acting like pilgrims. Simple as that. Crime may be the easy way out, but its not the right way out. In fact, crime isnt a way out at all. My heart goes out to the Brown family, and I hope yours does too.
