I hate the fact that the MEANING of the word entitlement has changed from SOMETHING YOU HAVE EARNED to some benefit youre being GIVEN that you dont deserve. A friend of mine read a guy named Foucault; my friend said he wrote about taking the meaning of a symbol & emptying out the meaning and putting in a new meaning. Sort of like the Christians did when they took over the goddess Bridget and turned her into Saint Bridget, the FOLLOWER of St. Patrick. Or lots of other pagan symbols integrated into religious holidays - everything from Christmas trees to the Easter bunny. The Good Wife tonight used the word entitled to mean somebody arrogant who felt deserving of better than others. Thats what the word entitlement has turned into. Not what we worked for - I worked over 40 years for my Social Security. It makes my blood boil. GOP has the best PR for naming. The Safe and Accurate Food Labeling Act PREVENTS STATES from requiring foods containing GMOs to be labeled as such. The Save American Jobs Act should have been called the Increase the number of hours workers must work to get health care because it tried to change the requirement from 30 to 39 hours (so corporations could cut a 40-hour worker by 1 hour and not include health care). Right to Work is union-busting -- the right to work for less money & fewer benefits. Protecting womens health means controlling their bodies. Americans for Prosperity promotes increasing the wealth of billionaires and austerity for the rest of us.
