I have a black father who (to strangers) looks totally white. His parents, both mother and father, didnt look white, but highly mixed. My father & his brother were able to sit in white only sections as children when they werent with there parents. They crazy part is that I have relatives Ive never met because they chose to run to Chicago, change their names, and live as white people. When I see/meet white people like this, I always wonder if were related. Out of 5 kids, my grandmother & her brother (Vanessa Williamss father) were the only 2 who chose to not partake in being fake. Glad I come from the real side:)
