I have a busy day coming up so here is todays forecast - early with Black Isle Furniture. A windy day with sunny spells and sleet or snow showers, these heaviest and most frequent towards the north and west of the Great Glen with the odd thundery one possible, especially towards the far north. Scattered snow showers overnight, especially towards the west but with long clear spells towards more eastern areas. Icy with a widespread frost. Lows -4c across Moray and Aberdeenshire. Saturday will be cold with further scattered snow showers, especially in the west with the best of the sunshine further east. Frosty and icy overnight. Lighter winds on Sunday with be cold with plenty of sunshine, but scattered snow showers affecting coastal areas towards the north and west, heavy at times. Very cold overnight with a sharp frost then a bright, cold day on Monday with patchy freezing fog lingering in some inland glens. Perhaps snow arriving later on Tuesday but I will firm up on this over the weekend.
