I have a cold. My boss gave it to me. No, I didnt kiss him, either on the mouth or elsewhere... Famously, a few years ago I had a nasty cold and it was completely cured by having a glass of grappa. I was convinced of its effectiveness. Coincidences of life, I happen to have a Brand new bottle of the same brand of grappa (Nonino, really good stuff!) that has been here for a couple of years now. You sort of need to have the right occasion to open a bottle of grappa. So Im going to repeat the experiment in the name of science. Pouring myself a generous glass of Muscatel Grappa to see if it cures my cold. If it doesnt work it may be because I cant find our grappa glasses. As a fine wine shouldnt be enjoyed in just any old glass, grappa shouldnt be enjoyed in a Ricard glass, which is the closest thing I can find... Stay tuned tomorrow to see if the cure to the common cold has been discovered!
