Just came up on a motorcycle car wreck. I 35 south bound just past Santa Fe. Motorcycle was flying and hit left rear of a late model chevy monte carlo. Spanish driver didnt speak english. Setting in his car. Motorcycle guy totally geeked up. I pulled off to the right side just after a big debris field. Ran back to 100 yards past where guy was laying in median. Was able to cross 4 lanes of assholes flying past. Picked up handlebars and backpack as I kicked shoes and motorcycle parts off highway. As I was running back I was calling 911. When I got to the guy the two people were standing with their thumbs up their butt. The one guy was describing the scene to his girlfriend, did not call 911. The other person, a girl left her phone in her car?? There was a lot of blood coming from under the helmet. I had my small high intensity flash light and shined it in the open face helmet. I could not see any respiration. I bent down to check for a corrated artery, the girl started yelling at me not to move him. I looked at her and explained I had been a combat lifesaver in the army and needed to see if he was alive. I put my hand under the helmet and felt a weak pulse. I also pulled my hand out covered with blood. About 3-5 minutes passed and all the red and blue lights in the world appeared. I talked to the first officer on the scene and explained the guy was alive but totally geeked up. Could he put a rush on the ambulance. I gave him an assessment of the guys injuries. Two broken legs, broken left arm and multiple internal injuries, he was blood foaming out the mouth and nose. Lots of blood loss. But breathing barley. He had me repeat it to the first paramedic off the fire truck. At that point I was a spectator. I started to cross back over the highway and a policeman stopped me and told me to wait. They were shutting down the highway. I got across in time to here the driver say he needed an interpreter. I got back to my family and came home and washed my hand with soap and water then lysol. Hope he was clean. Hope he lives.
