I have a confession. Familiarity breeds contempt I suppose ... but Im sort of tired of old Roman architecture, however pretty and quaint. I found a B&B right out in the middle of the countryside near Rome (not even as far from the centre as where I live), and the clean spare lines and the sheer sense of space and light was so refreshing!! The owners are Brazilian/Italian, and really lovely people, and fantastic cooks, both (fruit, vegetables and poultry from their own place). It is run as both a B&B (and prices more than competitive!), or you can call them and book the whole place for a private lunch for a group of up to 20, and spend the entire day there. And the photos really dont do it justice! Costantucci Country House
