I have a couple of friends and there have been one well known TV preacher (Pat Robinson) that says that Christians should not be celebrating Christmas on December 25th due to it was a pagan holiday. Here are my thoughts: 1. Before it was a pagan holiday it was the day of the Lord! 2. The Bible tells us to redeem the time, so if it was, we are taking it back! 3. New Testament says to not argue about what is or not a holy day. Everyday is Christmas! Everyday is holy day! Happy holidays! We do not worship a particular day but a person. Peace on earth, goodwill to all men. Some people cannot stand that message. They have hatred in their heart. They dont like to give, they dont like to be cheerful. They are religious Sadducees: sad, u, see! The goodness of the Lord brings men to repentance. The Goodness... God is not angry with men. Jesus took the wrath of God. Except his goodness. The Law is the strength of sin. Preach the law and you will have sin good and strong. Hebrews 10:2 says that when the worshipper is cleaned he should have no more conscious of sin. Sin shall not have dominion over you. Grace is where it is at. Merry Christmas! Whatever and as often as you celebrate our Savior birth. Everyday is Christmas to me. Everyday. Eat, drink, and be merry! Give and receive! Love and love some more.
