I have a desperate plea: I am quite sick and completely bogged - TopicsExpress

I have a desperate plea: I am quite sick and completely bogged down by the attorneys fee motion. The last few months have been extremely hard because of the lawsuit and my health has taken a huge hit. I am also dealing with a very intense infusion schedule and trying to see my family at least sometimes. For those of you who dont know: I live apart from my 4-year old girl and my husband because Ampligen is not available where we live. And, of course, there is life: s**t that happens and I am forced to deal with (although I delegate most of that to Ed). I frequently get requests for help with other legal matters and questions regarding legal advice or just requests for legal ideas. Please understand that even if I had not taken such a big hit recently, I would not be likely to be able to give legal advice over the Internet. I could bankrupt my family over night doing so, especially given my cognitive limitations. Plus, when I am not at all familiar with an issue, unlike the IOM issue, I am much too sick to take that on. And it definitely makes no sense for me to get involved in matters that are not ME-related. In any event, once this lawsuit comes to a close (and who knows when that will; it will depend largely on how (un)reasonable the government will be), i will need some serious rest. I am on the brink of a very serious crash and just replying to everybody has become overwhelming. Today, I am trying to fly home to see my little girl and my husband. And I am not sure I will able to. I do post on FB because I am basically housebound (with most of my time spent in bed, even when I work on motions) and when I dont have the brainpower to work on the lawsuit or to watch TV, it is a way to connect with people. But it does not mean that I am well. I hope folks can understand that I need to prioritize in a big way right now and are not offended if I mostly have to say no. Litigation is a monster that gets to a healthy person, but for somebody with this disease, it can be the last straw for going into severe. So, please be compassionate if you can. Thank you! PS: None of this would have been necessary had the govt followed the law. They had every opportunity to be reasonable even after I filed my complaint. Instead, they have been stonewalling and getting more and more aggressive and unreasonable with every motion/hearing even though they were clearly on the wrong side of the law. This is where our taxpayer money goes: To fighting disabled citizens who do nothing but try to enforce their rights and making them much sicker in the process, something they undoubtedly know they are doing.
