I have a different attitude to football these days, for those of you who havent realised they kick around a microcosm of the planets energy system (icosahedron) it makes sense why you get so upset when your team loses. Blackburn Rovers are a team who have history, as are Burnley, both founding members of the Football League, both won some titles and cups, and Rovers won the Premier League most recently. (Not a fan of people who say winning a league is achieved through solely money, winning 30 odd games more than your rivals is some feat, and credit where it is due.) Things, however, do change and it seems that the clarets currently find themselves in a prominent position this season. I havent paid too much attention (the universal issues have been a little more important to my being this past 6 months) but it seems Burnley are in a rich vein of form. May the winner be football, and not a bunch of crusty old northerners calling each other names, provoking violence and generally behaving like the apes from the opening scene of 2001: A Space Odyssey. Its no wonder they behave like morons, tanked up on gallons of lager and a century of hatred. It is only a game, and yet so many of you put all your energy into it. Enjoy the match, I know I will, whatever the outcome. (UTC)
