I have a dilemma: Would love to hear from you guys because I have prayed and I am just stumped. I need to have a medical procedure that involves anesthesia. Because anesthesia has caused heart arrhythmia in the past, I have been cautioned about it. I have 2 gastroenterologists; one will do the procedure in the clinic - this means more risk because no anesthesiologist will be present. The other will do the procedure in the hospital - LOW risk because an anesthesiologist will be present the entire time. The dilemma? The clinic procedure will cost me only a $60 copay! Thats IT! No other costs or fees! But high cardiac risks. The hospital procedure will cost me $700 (deductible) plus 20% of the procedure cost, the doctor fees, etc. I do NOT have $700, but I could drain my savings and take it out. Since I have no idea when I will return to work, this is scary. WHAT DO I DO? Go the cheaper path with the cardiac risk, or drain my savings and be safer? HELP!
