I have a few things I feel are important for me to share, so this will probably be long. First and foremost, my appreciation for Austin Spain is so immense right now that I want him to be publicly recognized, so Id like to share a quick story. So we were at a rave tonight and there was a very creepy Mexican man who kept giving me objectifying looks and trying to sneakily weasel his way through the crowd to get to me. Usually my brother is around to keep and eye out and protect me from these situations, however he was unavailable at the time. I expressed my discomfort to Austin and he immediately put himself between this man and I to try and give this guy the hint that he was unwelcome. This continued for a good hour and a half or so. Finally, after me being so obviously uncomfortable for so long, Austin pulled this creepy man aside and I dont know what he said to him but after their discussion, per se, the man immediately left our area and was not seen or heard from since. It makes me so happy to know that not only is my brothers best friend so loyal to my brother for protecting me, but he is also so concerned about my well-being and general comfort that without my asking he would settle a situation like this for me, especially knowing my brother cant be there to settle this himself. Thank you, Austin, the world needs more MEN like you.❤️ Secondly, I met a girl and her boyfriend tonight who are an absolutely adorable couple and ended up dancing with them and making friends. Upon meeting her, she told me she was drunk. Unfortunately, a few hours into our very new friendship, she approached me saying she had taken a drug (the kind of drug shall be left out of the story) and wasnt feeling well. She failed to tell me HOW unwell she was feeling and was slowly fading in and out of conscience-ness, after seeing this her boyfriend was somehow able to get her to be a little more coherent and she asked me to go to the bathroom with her, and of course I agreed. She wasnt looking well and said she was feeling nauseous so I told her not to fight her body and to let it come out, so she had me hold her hair for her while she threw up. She asked me not to tell her boyfriend, so I didnt and she was looking and feeling better after throwing up. Purpose of the story: had I not met this girl she probably would have been hospitalized/died due to an overdose/mixing chemicals and substances that should NOT be mixed. This is a friendly reminder to ask people how theyre feeling and if they are okay, particularly at raves and similar events. Some times its hard to communicate or even acknowledge that you need help so just do your part as a humane member of society and simply ask are you okay? On a much less significant note, although I dont agree with drinking before or at raves (because it often makes people angry and violent) props to the people who can rave drunk and still maintain PLUR. I appreciate you guys. I know a lot of you have a stigma against raves, so sorry if I wasted your time with this, but if this status receives one negative comment I will assume, and probably correctly, that you are close-minded, nonempathtic, and lack basic researching skills and I will not take such uneducated negativity seriously. This is the most personal thing Ive ever posted on a social network.
