I have a friend that has never voted in an election... ever. She feels it is a waste of time because all politicians are crooked and narcissistic, and that her one vote will not count for anything. Now, I am extremely cynical when it comes to politics, so I cant entirely disagree with her; however, I consider it my right and my duty as an American citizen to cast my vote. I think it actually is a slap in the face to our country and to all those that have served and defended it to not take advantage of your rights in this democratic process. That being said, I cant wait until this damn election is over with! If I see one more political commercial, I think I may go postal!
