I have a funny thanksgiving story it starts with pie, good start huh? I made crust Wednesday night because I am that organized:) one of the crusts was odd and so when I tested it yesterday it was obviously a fail. No worries, I made 2 more crusts began to make the pecan pie. It went in the oven and I began to make the pumpkin pie and realized I was out of cinnamon. I had to run to the store with the pie in the oven so I enlisted Eric to watch the pie. He took the job very seriously laying on the floor to assure a good view of the baking. Unfortunately my description of too dark was insufficient burnt pie picture follows:( annoying but I have an extra crust and extra fixings..... Eric and I are talking while cooking and I put the pumpkin pie in the oven and a few minutes later I see an egg on the counter, not in the pie, I decide to pull the pie out and see if I can remix the filling, I pour the filling in a bowl and the shell falls out in the sink :) picture below. Im pretty stressed at this point because I have gone through a lot of eggs but I have the filling remixed. Maybe I will only have 2 pies instead of 3. An aside is that Eric had gotten mud in his eye earlier and was rinsing it with saline, bad I me the pumpkin filling was in the sink waiting for a new shell. Eric rinsed his eye and dumped the saline for his eye in the pie ! At this point I collapse laughing, you have to laugh. Moral I am great fun to have the means to make five pies, six crusts, used 20+ eggs, results are 3 pies below. Thank you everyone for being in my life. All my love happy thanksgiving.
