This post is in regards to my post earlier in a post related to Chris Canada and WC DSM. This post is not to vouch for his mechanical labor or quality of parts, but rather his character. IF you missed the conversation earlier ill fill you in. This goes back to Sept. of 2009. Initially I met with Chris at a shell station in Tulatin, OR with a friend for a 18v Greddy FMIC. I mentioned I wanted the Greddy Type S bov and he stated that he had this particular item but not with him. So he would accept a paypal payment and would then send the product to the address. Needless to say, this BOV never showed up and after contacting him and filing a dispute, nothing came of it. Back in June, I met Chris, not recognizing him. Due to him wearing a hat and sunglasses as well as being in a different state (Renton WA). I met him for some parts for a build I was doing on my GSX. We met, we discussed somethings about my current vehicle and I was on my way. After the meeting, time went by and after discussing his movement in the northwest and the car he was driving I was able to piece together who I had met with. Just today, I saw a post condemning him on some of his business practices and felt that my opinion was needed. After hearing numerous stories and my own personal encounters I entered the discussion expressing my feelings. He asked me to find evidence that there was payment and I contacted Paypal via email because they werent displaying anything before 2011. Chris and I then took this to a private message and we discussed what had gone on between us, after 5 years. After displaying proof of payment, Chris rightfully sent a payment for 65$ (in the original post i said 100$ and I was incorrect, which I apologize for). We then discussed a bit more, he apologized and we have gone our ways. Im not used to this method of payment, so I have not extracted the funds yet, but will tonight. I want to take a moment and apologize to everybody if my character or actions offended anybody. My reasoning for bringing this public is not for receiving a payment, especially over 65$ but rather to educate our newer community members what is out there and to be cautious. I cant vouch for chris in his other predicaments, but I can say that although it took many years he has made things right with me and I can applaud him for that. This part is DIRECTLY FOR CHRIS: I dont approve of your business practices. I hope that those practices can change and you can properly run your business. I appreciate your willingness to come forth and make things right. As ive told you before, I respect what youve done for me even after all this time. I hope to hear other stories about your willingness to change with other people. And at that point you and your business will have my support.
