I have a question/dilemma! If this was addressed recently, I missed it. Do you wash and iron all your fabric before starting a project?? I am ready to start a new project, and cut 2 inch squares from each fabric to test for bleeding (using some reds) and shrinkage. None of the fabrics faded, but several of them did shrink nearly 1/8 on the 2 square...that would be a lot of shrinkage over an entire quilt, and im making a Dresden Plate...sure would not want to mess it up. Do I bite the bullet and wash all the yardage?? ugh.
