I have a similar story. Several years ago, when we were basikally homeless living in an rv for 2 years, we were parked in kmarts parking lot in McKinleyville, we were fukkin so broke we had to scrounge up change and all we could afford was a loaf of bread and a smal thing of lunch meat, barely had enough. We made our purchase and as we left with our dinner, a wonderful senior citizen ( unaware she was watching our hardship) stopped us outside and asked if what we purchased was all we could afford, we honestly said yes with tears in our eyes, she could tell we were hurting, she thrn opened up her pocketbook and gave us $20 for food. We never felt so blessed... So when we say we know what its like, been there done that, we mean it. That moment in time inspired us to give help to ALL of our friends for several years now (homeless or not) because of what we were blessed w/ during our depression..... YOU DONT HAVE TO BELIEVE IN ANYTHING TO BE BLESSED. BLESSINGS ARE HARD TO COME BY AND TREATED LIKE GOLD WHEN THEY TAKE PLACE. I hope this makes a good example of a down and out life and we are standing stronger than ever. John Stufflebean and Mike Zint and Theresa Cawidwen Stewart lived with us, Jeffrey Sorenson and Jessica Jamie Sorenson remember when we first had our r.v.... WHOOP WHOOP.
