I have a small Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class here at my home. It is free to anyone wishing to train. I have a large pole barn with mats in it. It is NOT a replacement for professional instruction. If one is to learn BJJ, one should first attend classes with James Horne if in Kokomo, Brad Maddox if in Lafayette, or with my instructor, Carlos Diaz, at ATT Indy. We train, work techniques and have fun here at the Roost. I am NOT a professional trainer/instructor. I am a blue belt working to learn BJJ. But, if you just want to train and practice technique, if you are too broke to afford classes currently, or if you want to add to your training schedule, come join us Saturdays at 10am-noon. Wear gi pants if you have them, or shorts with no zippers or pockets and a t shirt. We will be starting Gi classes in a month or two. Both men and women are welcomed. All ages, but kids under 18 must be accompanied by a parent. The class is filling rapidly and I expect it to gain popularity as most things fun and free do, so it is a first come first serve situation. We will try to extend mat space by putting more out, but the mats will fill up fast as word gets out, so be there if you can. We will work four guard passes tied into one another tomorrow and I CANNOT WAIT!
